Roll For Romance

I love D&D. Like, a lot. Really it was only a matter of time before I made something related to it, and here we are, just in time for Valentines Day. And of course I had to make a bunch of LGBT flavoured versions as well because A) well duh, and B) the pride flag colour schemes are awesome.

As always, if you want to get any of the above as a gift for yourself your loved ones this year, they’re available in their own collection over at my Redbubble store.

You’re The Swan That I Want

Hey Sam, a distance voice cries, will you ever just quit it already with the bad animal puns? To which I lovingly whisper my reply: absolutely not.

I know, I know, it’s still January but Valentines Day isn’t that far off, and that’s as good an excuse as any for yet more heinous incredible puns! So here’s this year’s collection of animals, which you can check out in my Redbubble Store, and purchase to inflict upon your loved ones this year. That being said, if anyone has any evil pun ideas they’d like me to inflict upon the world, then hit me the hell up because I am down. Also because every time I do one of these I get to experience the pain of learning to draw yet another animal, and if there’s one thing artists love, it’s constantly trying to draw things they have no idea how to draw.

Demonised – November Illustrations

The final collection of pastel-goth demon girl pinups that I made in November! Words cannot express how much fun these were to make, and I will one thousand percent end up making more of them I’m sure. As with a lot of what I do, I wanted to be diverse in my demon-girls, so I tried to vary their race, body type and to also include more disability visibility, since that’s something I don’t draw as much as I should. And pastel goth is just the most fun aesthetic to draw, even though I cannot pull it off in real life, like, at all.

Can you believe it’s nearly the end of 2017? Man, what a wild ride.

It’s that time of year again and I wanted to do something different this time around. Hence some slightly less cute Christmas-themed designs, which you can pick up on a variety of goods at my Redbubble Store and give to your more unusual friends and loved ones this holiday season.

And as always, if you want to keep up with my mostly-weekly art posts, as well as occasional sketches and WIP shots, hit up my Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter!

Dark Magic For Fun & Profit – September Illustrations

Here are all the finished designs from my September illustrations! Like I mentioned in my August roundup, I wanted to try something different this time. So I made a bunch of creepy, cute, kinda fun designs on a vaguely goth, necromancy and dark magic type theme. All of them are absolutely things I want to put on my body, and you can conveniently get them at my Redbubble, in my Dark Magic For Fun And Profit collection.

While not as intensive to make as my previous weekly illustrations, they were still a lot of fun to do, and a benefit of them taking considerably less time than the others used to was that I wasn’t nearly so stressed out about getting all my projects finished for the month. I will absolutely be doing more for this collection in the future, and if anyone has specific goth/dark magic/necromancy/weirdo things they want, feel free to hit me up.

Now, on to October, for which I’m going back to my ‘daily doodle’ style of things, and doing Inktober! I’m using one of Simon Fletchers themed prompt lists (the Space one, because SPACE), and I’ll be posting them daily on my all my usual social media. And because I work a lot in ink anyway, to make this more of a challenge I’m focusing on a few things to try and improve: I’m using India ink instead of Quink to learn a new medium; I’m focusing on silhouette and character shape to work on more unique character design; and I’m trying to make all of them fit together in the same universe, to focus on design coherency.

As usual, if you want to follow along with all of this, as well as WIP’s and other doodles, the links you need to click are as follows:

Happy Birthday to Anyone and Everyone

Available now, as cards and other exciting goodies – birthday cards! Well, I guess you could use them for other occassions as well, I don’t know your life. Three new fun designs, and my first foray into Amusing Words. I’m sure we all know at least one person in this world who would appreciate the humour in at least one of these. So go to my Rebubble store! Purchase to your hearts content! There are very frequently sales there!

Daily Doodle Challenge: February

February’s theme was Romance! So I drew a bunch of couples doing cute things all month. Missed a few due to going on holiday and being tired, but I’m pretty pleased with what I did get done. And some of these were colouring practice with my new Cintiq – which, yes, I finally got one. I should review it somehow. It’s amazing.

In March I’m drawing superheroes, so make sure to follow my sketchblog to see those happen in mostly real-time.

Also! I have an instagram now! I’m flailingmuse on there, same as on twitter. I haven’t posted much yet, but I’m trying to be more proactive about throwing my art at the world via any and every channel, so there will be things there, I promise!
